Regular Season Round 20: Trikalla - Apollon Patras 83-70

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Aiolos Trikallon (8-12) beat at home higher ranked Apollon Patras (9-11) 83-70 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Aiolos Trikallon made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Justin Ingram (189-85, college: Toledo, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and American-Irish forward Mike Hall (203-84, college: G.Washington) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Aiolos Trikallon's coach Kostas Flevarakis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: KMG Sports Management) responded with 21 points and his fellow American import forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: I.D.S. Law) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Five Aiolos Trikallon and four Apollon Patras players scored in double figures. Aiolos Trikallon moved-up to ninth place. Apollon Patras lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost. Aiolos Trikallon will face Nea Kifisia (#12) in Athens in the next round.
