The game in Vigo supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked GDKO Bizkaia (16-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Real Celta Vigo (11-7). GDKO Bizkaia smashed Real Celta Vigo 81-58. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Real Celta Vigo. The game was mostly controlled by GDKO Bizkaia. Real Celta Vigo was better in second period 25-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Real Celta Vigo to just 6 points in first quarter. The best player for the winners was Argentinian forward Maria Lineira (180-83) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. American Margaret Roundtree (183-88, college: Gardner-Webb) chipped in 25 points. Roundtree is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four GDKO Bizkaia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Mali center Minata Keita (190-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Maria Perez Araujo (184-97) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. GDKO Bizkaia have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group A leader, which they share with Ensino. Real Celta Vigo at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. GDKO Bizkaia's next round opponent will be league's leader Maquinaria Ensino in Lugo and it will be for sure the game of the week. Real Celta Vigo will play on the road against Arxil Pontevedra (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
