Regular Season Round 27: Huima - TuRi 105-63

There was no surprise in Aanekoski where 10th ranked TuRi (2-24) was crushed by second ranked Aanekosken (20-7) 105-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aanekosken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding TuRi to just 7 points in second quarter. Aanekosken made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 TuRi turnovers and outrebounded them 53-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Michaela Michaela Houser (170-91, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Her fellow American import power forward Chandra Harris (186-89, college: Georgia St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Four Aanekosken players scored in double figures. Aanekosken's coach Mervi Nurmi felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Sanni Salonen (181-95) who recorded 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Nelli Nurmi (172-93) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively. Aanekosken maintains second place with 20-7 record having five points less than leader Catz. TuRi lost twenty second consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games.
