There was a minor upset in Rotterdam where 4th placed Binnenland (12-11) was defeated by sixth ranked Grasshoppers (9-15) 84-80. It was an exceptional evening for center Rowie Jongeling (187-93) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Janine Guyt (173-95) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. American guard Shay Selby (175-90, college: Duke) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and international center Rianne De Roos (191-89) added 17 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Binnenland in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Grasshoppers maintains sixth place with 9-15 record. Defending champion Binnenland keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Grasshoppers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Binnenland will play at home against CTO (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
