A very interesting game took place in Capo d'Orlando. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 12th ranked Upea CdO (8-14) to fifteenth ranked VL Pesaro (7-15) 70-69 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Upea CdO. Upea CdO was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 16-14 charge of VL Pesaro, which allowed them to win the game. American forward LaQuinton Ross (203-92, college: Ohio St.) notched 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Dario Hunt (206-89, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Upea CdO. American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. VL Pesaro moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Openjobmetis V. Newly promoted Upea CdO dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. VL Pesaro's next round opponent will be league's leader Armani Milano at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
