Rather expected game when 14th ranked CB Prat (5-19) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Leyma Basquet (10-13) 69-63 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-17. But CB Prat won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leyma Basquet made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Leyma Basquet outrebounded CB Prat 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Georgian Beka Burjanadze (202-94) stepped up and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Trinidad and Tobago center Kyle Rowley (213-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. Leyma Basquet's coach Tito Diaz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Alex Ros (193-83) responded with 21 points and Montenegrin center Zoran Nikolic (211-96) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Leyma Basquet moved-up to tenth place. CB Prat lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Leyma Basquet will face Oviedo CB (#11) at home in the next round.
