Regular Season Round 20: PAOK - Olympiacos 72-88
Date: March 16, 2015
Rather predictable result in Thessaloniki where first ranked Olympiacos (19-1) defeated 3rd ranked PAOK (13-7) 88-72 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. PAOK was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Belgian guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international guard Konstantinos Sloukas (197-90) who added 9 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. American power forward Kevin Langford (204-85, college: TCU) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Marc Antonio Carter (191-85, college: NC-Wilmington) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiacos have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-1 record. PAOK lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with seven games lost. Olympiacos will face KAOD (#10) in Dramas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PAOK will play on the road against Panelefsiniakos (#13) in Eleusina and hope to win that game.
