Regular Season Round 7: Taipower - Taiyuan T. 66-73

Very significant was Taiyuan Textile's (#3, 3-4) victory against 4th placed Taipower (1-6) 73-66. Taiyuan Textile trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 24-6 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Taipower to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great evening for international forward Ying-Chieh Wu (179-92) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. International guard Chi-Fang Chang (174-93) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side the former international center Yi-Chun Liu (186-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Shih-Chieh Chang (172-86) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Taiyuan Textile (3-4) moved-up to second place, which they share with Chunghua T. Taipower at the other side stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Taiyuan Textile is looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
