The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beirut: Al Riyadi (#1) and Homenetm. B (#4). Homenetm. B was smashed at home by 18 points 70-88 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Al Riyadi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Homenetm. B's 34 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) chipped in 24 points and 9 rebounds. Five Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. American point guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 assists and Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Al Riyadi have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position in A with 17-1 record. Homenetm. B lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. Al Riyadi are looking forward to face Al Moutahed (#3) in Tripoli in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Homenetm. B will play on the road against the league's second-placed UBA in Byblos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
