Regular Season Round 9: Taiyuan T. - Chunghua T. 61-68

WSBL round 9 most important game was a victory of Chunghwa Telecom over second-best Taiyuan Textile 68-61 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Taiyuan Textile was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 22-12 charge of Chunghwa Telecom, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Shu-Ching Yang (170-88) who led her team to a victory with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Center Pei-Jun Xie (181-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Chunghwa Telecom players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Yi-Hung Ma (176-80) answered with 19 points and 5 assists and the former international center Pei-Chen Tsai (186-84) added 9 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Taiyuan Textile. Chunghwa Telecom (4-5) moved-up to second place. Taiyuan Textile at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. Chunghwa Telecom are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiyuan Textile will play against Taipower and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
