Regular Season Round 22: Ramat Hasharon - Netanya 89-111

The game between 12th ranked Hasharon (6-16) and fifth ranked GreenTops Netanya (14-8) in Ramat Hasharon ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Netanya outscored Hasharon 111-89. The game was mostly controlled by GreenTops Netanya. Hasharon was better in fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GreenTops Netanya dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Hasharon's 42. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. American Brandon Brown (199-85, college: CS San Bernar.) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Ben Sharoni (192-90) produced 16 points and 7 assists and American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. GreenTops Netanya moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hapoel G/A. Hasharon lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. GreenTops Netanya's next round opponent will be again Hasharon (#9) in Hod Hasharon where they are favorite. Hasharon will play on the road against Elitzur Yavne (#8) and hope to win that game.
