Seventh-ranked KFI (5-16) made lots of trouble for second ranked Hamar (14-7) in Isafjordur. The visitors from Hamar managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77. However their fans expected much easier game. KFI was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 23-16 charge of Hamar, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded KFI 40-25 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Orn Sigurdarson (202-89) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Thorsteinn Gunnlaugsson (190-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Hamar players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) answered with 32 points, 5 assists and 7 steals and center Birgir Petursson (205-86) added 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks in the effort for KFI. KFI's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Hamar maintains second place with 14-7 record having just two points less than leader Hottur. KFI lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 16 games lost.
