Top ranked Hottur (16-5) recorded its fifth loss in Akranes on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked IA (13-8) 99-84. The game was mostly controlled by IA. Hottur managed to win third quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hottur 49-33 including 38 on the defensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Hottur helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jamarco Warren (180-88, college: Charleston So.) who scored 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. IA have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Valur and FSU. Hottur at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost.
