5th ranked Chorale de Roanne (15-10) fell to sixth ranked Denain Voltaire (15-10) in overtime by nine points 72-81 on Friday night. The game took place in Roanne. But the guests from Denain were better at the end. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 15-11 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 9-point victory in overtime. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Jerome Cazenobe (203-89) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). American power forward Erroyl Bing (198-82, college: E.Carolina) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Denain Voltaire's coach Jean-Christophe Prat used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Charles Jackson (203-87, college: Hawaii-Pacific, agency: Court Side) answered with 24 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import Torrell Martin (196-85, college: Winthrop) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Chorale de Roanne. Denain Voltaire moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Roanne. Denain Voltaire will face Charleville-Mezieres (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chorale de Roanne will play against Le Portel (#9) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
