Regular Season Round 19: Sant Adria - Andratx 65-62

Very expected game in Sant Adria de Besos where 9th ranked Andratx (5-14) was edged by fourth ranked Sant Adria (13-6) 65-62 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Andratx was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 12-7 charge of Sant Adria, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Andratx to just 7 points in fourth quarter. It was a great evening for center Olga Ruano (191-88, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. Mariona Martin (169-96) helped adding 12 points. At the losing side Paraguayan point guard Maria Mercado (162-89) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian power forward Nina Djokovic (184-87, college: Bethel, TN) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Sant Adria maintains fourth place in Group B with 13-6 record. Andratx lost their fourth game in a row. Andratx at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Sant Adria will face league's leader CREF Hola in Madrid in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Andratx will play at home against ASEFA Estudiantes (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
