Second Stage Round 8: Biassono - Carugate 66-57

There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Biassono (3-4) defeated at home second-ranked Carugate (4-3) 66-57 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Martina Gargantini (181-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and forward Alessia Colombo (186-93) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The former international guard Susanna Stabile (178-80) responded with 20 points and guard Michela Frantini (175-83) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Biassono moved-up to fifth place in A2. Newly promoted Carugate dropped to the third position with three games lost. Biassono will face Viterbo (#6) on the road in the next round. Carugate will play against Muggia and hope to win that game.
