The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Chiba Jets' (27-15) road victory over 6th ranked Kumamoto V. (4-37) 87-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. Chiba Jets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Chiba Jets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Chiba Jets' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and center Josh Warren (206-88, college: Troy) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Chiba Jets have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Kumamoto V. lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 37 games lost. Chiba Jets will face higher ranked Toshiba Thunders (#3) in Kanagawa in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kumamoto V. will play on the road against Wakayama T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
