Not a big story in a game in Pruszkow where 14th ranked AZS PP (4-21) was outplayed by fifth ranked Znicz Basket (15-10) 75-54 on Saturday. The game without a history. Znicz Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding AZS PP to just 7 points in second quarter. Znicz Basket forced 26 AZS PP turnovers. Strangely AZS PP outrebounded Znicz Basket 47-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Forward Filip Put (201-93) fired 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Znicz Basket players scored in double figures. Michal Szydlowski (197-87) produced 9 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Maciej Rostalski (198-90) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Znicz Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Legia. AZS PP lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Znicz Basket will face league's second-placed Stal Ostrow in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS PP will play at home against Zaglebie (#8) and hope to win that game.
