Second Stage Round 12: 08 - Malbas 94-89

Basketettan round 12 caused change at the leadership position. Fifth defeat of league's leader Malbas (8-5) against fifth ranked 08 Stockholm (7-6) 94-89 was the most important game of the last round. Malbas were trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 8-18 charge of 08 Stockholm, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for guard Jonas Ehlde (188-92) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 assists. Forward Simon Forsberg (197-90) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) replied with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Malbas. Five Malbas players scored in double figures. Malbas' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. 08 Stockholm moved-up to third place in Superettan. Malbas at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Helsingborg. Malbas will play next round against Alvik Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. 08 Stockholm will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Trelleborg at home.
