Regular Season Round 28: Rapla - Tarvas 66-69

The most exciting game of round 28 in the Alexela KML took place in Rapla. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers TYCO Rapla (19-8) to fourth ranked BC Rakvere (18-11) 69-66 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of TYCO Rapla. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-18. But TYCO Rapla won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when BC Rakvere won last quarter 17-15. American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) fired 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward David Haughton (198-91, college: Purchase) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Croatian center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and American forward C.J. Barksdale (203-92, college: Virginia Tech) added 8 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. BC Rakvere maintains fourth position with 18-11 record. TYCO Rapla at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. BC Rakvere are looking forward to face Valga Kalev (#5) on the road in the next round. TYCO Rapla will play against TTU in Tallinn and is hoping to win this game.
