Second Stage Round 12: Solna Branten - BG Lulea 77-66

Basketettan top team - Solna Branten (15-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked BG Lulea (6-10) 77-66. The hosts trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Solna Branten dominated on the defensive end, holding BG Lulea to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 22 BG Lulea turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Simon Makkonen (186-94) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Forward Henrik Jadersten (208-95) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Solna Branten players scored in double figures. Forward Denzel Andersson (202-96) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Anton Kobylak-Berglund (197-96) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BG Lulea. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Solna Branten have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in BEHN forts with 15-3 record. BG Lulea lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost. Solna Branten will have a break next round. BG Lulea will play at home against Jarfalla (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
