Rather expected game in Castellanza where 16th ranked Piacentina (6-20) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Legnano (11-15) 77-71 on Saturday. Piacentina was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 27-18 charge of Legnano, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 20 Piacentina turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard John Merchant (187-89, college: Dowling) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Matteo Frassineti (195-87) chipped in 16 points. The former international guard Rodolfo Rombaldoni (193-77) produced 17 points and 7 assists and Lithuanian swingman Paulius Sorokas (200-92) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Legnano moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Aget Service IM.
