Regular Season Round 46: Shiga L-Stars - Fukuoka Rizing 74-76

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (12-32) edged on the road higher ranked Shiga L-Stars (26-16) 76-74 on Sunday. Shiga L-Stars were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 17-13 charge of Fukuoka Rizing, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. Guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia, agency: Haylett Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Shiga L-Stars' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Bambitious Nara. Loser Shiga L-Stars keep the fourth position with 16 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face higher ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (#3) in Mikawa in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Shiga L-Stars will play on the road against Bambitious Nara and hope to win that game.
