We should mention about the upset which took place in Latina, where higher ranked Reggio Calabr. (15-10) lost to fourteenth ranked Latina Basket (10-16) in a road game 76-83 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Reggio Calabr.. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 26-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Reggio Calabr. was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American swingman Drake Reed (196-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: KMG Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Loser Reggio Calabr. keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Latina Basket will face higher ranked Aget Service IM (#12) in Imola in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Reggio Calabr. will play on the road against Matera (#15) and hope to win that game.
