Regular Season Round 24: Maccabi Ashdod - Hapoel Holon 85-90

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Hapoel Holon (14-10) beat on the road 11th ranked Maccabi Ashdod (7-17) 90-85. Maccabi Ashdod was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 25-17 charge of Hapoel Holon, which allowed them to win the game. 30 personal fouls committed by Maccabi Ashdod helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Three Eye Sports) who scored 19 points and 7 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The other American import Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon maintains third position with 14-10 record having seven points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Maccabi Ashdod at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 17 games lost. Hapoel Holon's next round opponent will be league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maccabi Ashdod will play on the road against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#4) and hope to win that game.
