Second Stage Round 4: Tadamon - Champville 75-96

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in . Third ranked Champville faced their biggest opponent Tadamon. Guests from Dik El Mehdi (8-10) smashed host Tadamon (8-10) 96-75. It was a key game for the second position in A. It looked good early as Tadamon took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Champville had a 27-9 second period charge getting the lead and Tadamon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-96. Champville players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Tadamon's players. The winners were led by American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Rony Fahed (184-81) supported him with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Even 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds by Jamaican-American guard Corey Williams (191-77, college: Alabama St.) did not help to save the game for Tadamon. Naturalized American power forward Philip Tabet (205-87, college: S.Alabama) added 6 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Champville moved-up to second place in A. Champville's next round opponent will be Hoops Club (#4) in Beirut. Tadamon will play on the road against the league's leader Sagesse in Beirut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
