Rather expected game when 7th ranked Granarolo BO (12-11) lost to fourth ranked Trenkwalder RE (16-7) in Reggio Emilia 56-66 on Sunday. The game without a history. Trenkwalder RE led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Granarolo BO's players. American guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Lithuanian Rimantas Kaukenas (192-77, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American guard Allan Ray (188-84, college: Villanova) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import forward Okaro White (206-92, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Granarolo BO. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trenkwalder RE maintains fourth place with 16-7 record. Granarolo BO at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Trenkwalder RE will face Upea CdO (#13) in Capo d'Orlando in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
