Liga Endesa top team - Unicaja Malaga (21-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat tenth ranked CB Canarias (11-14) in Tenerife 89-71. The game was mostly controlled by Unicaja Malaga. CB Canarias managed to win fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Unicaja Malaga made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. American forward Caleb Green (203-85, college: ORU) nailed 30 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Carlos Suarez (203-86, agency: Court Side) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds. Argentinian-Italian point guard Nicolas Richotti (183-86) came up with 26 points and 5 assists and Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (210-82) added 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for CB Canarias in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Unicaja Malaga maintains first place with 21-4 record. Loser CB Canarias dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Rio Natura Mnb.. Unicaja Malaga will meet at home UCAM Murcia (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CB Canarias will play against La Bruixa d'Or in Manresa and hope to secure a win.
