Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Dolomiti En. TR (13-9) defeated 11th ranked Air Avellino (8-15) in Trento 92-85 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Dolomiti En. TR outrebounded Air Avellino 33-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Tony Mitchell (198-89, college: Alabama) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 6 rebounds. International forward Davide Pascolo (201-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Hungarian Adam Hanga (200-89) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) added 19 points in the effort for Air Avellino. Four Dolomiti En. TR and five Air Avellino players scored in double figures. Dolomiti En. TR have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Dolomiti En. TR maintains fifth place with 13-9 record. Air Avellino lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Dolomiti En. TR will face bottom-ranked Juvecaserta (#16) in Caserta in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Air Avellino will play at home against Granarolo BO (#7) and hope to win that game.
