Eighth-ranked Amsterdam (3-21) made lots of trouble for first ranked Leiden (20-3) on Sunday. The visitors from Leiden managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-73. Strangely Amsterdam outrebounded Leiden 45-24 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international Worthy de Jong (194-88) who scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American Maurice Creek (196-90, college: G.Washington) chipped in 20 points. Five Leiden players scored in double figures.
