There was a small surprise in Sosnowiec where tenth ranked GKS Tychy (10-15) defeated 7th ranked Zaglebie (13-12) 78-69 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Strangely Zaglebie outrebounded GKS Tychy 41-27 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Marcin Dymala (188-90) fired 22 points for the winners. Point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. GKS Tychy's coach Tomasz Jagielka used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and center Michal Sadlo (205-94) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Zaglebie players scored in double figures. GKS Tychy moved-up to ninth place, which they share with GTK Gliwice. Zaglebie lost third consecutive game. Zaglebie at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. GKS Tychy will face SKK Siedlce (#13) at home in the next round.
