We should mention about the upset which took place in Zaragoza, where higher ranked Zamarat (9-15) lost to twelfth ranked Mann Filter (8-16) in a road game 58-65. Zamarat was ahead by 11 points after three quarters before a 30-12 charge of Mann Filter, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Zamarat helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American guard Yvonne Turner (174-87, college: Nebraska) who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists and Latvian center Kristine Vitola (193-91, college: UTEP) supported her with 14 points and 7 rebounds.
