The game in Maracay was quite interesting. Fourth ranked Guaros (11-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Toros (4-11). Guaros managed to secure a 9-point victory 72-63 on Monday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-63. International center Windi Graterol (204-86) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Guaros players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guaros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-6 record. Toros lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Guaros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toros will play again at home against Guaros (#4) and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
