Very significant was Taiyuan Textile's (#3, 4-6) victory against 4th ranked Taipower (2-8) 65-57. Taiyuan Textile took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-13. But Taipower won second period 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Taiyuan Textile forced 27 Taipower turnovers. The former international swingman Yi-Hung Ma (176-80) notched 15 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Su-Yi Rou (175-92) supported her with 15 points. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by the former international center Chi-Wen Lin (186-83) did not help to save the game for Taipower. International guard Yu-Chun Wei (176-92) added 13 points for lost side. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Taiyuan Textile (4-6) moved-up to second place, which they share with Chunghua T. Taipower at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Taiyuan Textile will play against league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
