Very predictable result when fourth ranked GreenTops Netanya (15-8) defeated at home 9th ranked Hasharon (10-14) 85-79 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 22-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. GreenTops Netanya made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Hasharon was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American Brandon Brown (199-85, college: CS San Bernar.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Lior Segev (180-83, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) helped adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Jeremy Allen (193-88, college: FIU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Rhamel Brown (201-92, college: Manhattan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Hasharon's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. GreenTops Netanya maintains fourth place with 15-8 record, which they share with Hapoel G/A. Loser Hasharon keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. GreenTops Netanya will face Ironi Ramat Gan (#7) on the road in the next round. Hasharon will play against Elitzur Yavne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
