Regular Season Round 23: Ironi K-A - Hapoel Kazrin 90-74

National League top team - Ironi Kiryat Ata (18-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Hapoel Kazrin (13-10) 90-74. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hapoel Kazrin. Hapoel Kazrin was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 55-34 second half run of Ironi Kiryat Ata. They outrebounded Hapoel Kazrin 47-35 including 33 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a quality performance for American swingman Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St.) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Tomer Ginat (202-94) accounted for 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Four Ironi Kiryat Ata players scored in double figures. American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Kazrin in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Kiryat Ata have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-5 record. Hapoel Kazrin at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Ironi Kiryat Ata will play against Hasharon (#12) in Ramat Hasharon in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Hapoel Kazrin will play at home against Maccabi Raanana (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
