An exciting game was when third ranked Third ranked Chunghwa Telecom faced 4th placed Taipower. Chunghwa Telecom (5-6) defeated Taipower (2-9) 70-60. The game was mostly controlled by Chunghwa Telecom. Taipower was better in second period 13-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chunghwa Telecom forced 19 Taipower turnovers. Guard Hong-Ying Huang (165-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Jia-Wei Liu (175-88) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Chunghwa Telecom players scored in double figures. International guard Yu-Chun Wei (176-92) answered with 12 points and 4 assists and the former international center Chi-Wen Lin (186-83) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Taipower. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Chunghwa Telecom moved-up to second place, which they share with Taiyuan T. Taipower lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Chunghwa Telecom will play against league's second-placed Taiyuan Textile in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against the league's leader Cathay Life and hopes to get back on the winning track.
