No shocking result in a game when third ranked Ragusa (16-3) beat 8th ranked Croatia 2006 (5-13) in Dubrovnik 79-61 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Ragusa. Croatia 2006 managed to win third quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Croatia 2006's 26. They outrebounded Croatia 2006 46-26 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Serbian guard Jovana Vukoje (174-86) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international forward Kristina Benic (186-88) supported her with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Ragusa's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 18 points, 10 assists and 5 steals by point guard Inja Butina (171-95) did not help to save the game for Croatia 2006. point guard Martina Suster (167-90) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Four Croatia 2006 players scored in double figures. Ragusa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-3 record having just -1 point less than leader Medvescak.
