The game in was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Haukar (16-9) played at the court of 8th ranked Breidablik (3-23). Haukar defeated Breidablik 77-63. The game without a history. Haukar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 Breidablik turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Haukar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 26 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. Forward Audur Olafsdottir (173-92) contributed with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Arielle Wideman (175-92, college: Nevada) replied with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and guard Berglind Ingvarsdottir (165-85) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Breidablik. Haukar have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Grindavik. Newly promoted Breidablik stay dead last with 23 lost games. Haukar will play against Valur (#5) in Reykjavik in the next round. Breidablik will play on the road against KR in Reykjavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
