Regular Season Round 12: Cathay Life - Taipower 73-56

An interesting game for Cathay Life (11-1) which played against 4th ranked Taipower (2-10). First ranked Cathay Life had an easy win 73-56. The game without a history. Cathay Life led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Taipower's 40. Cathay Life players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard I-Hsiu Cheng (178-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Wan-Ting Li (180-86) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Cathay Life players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international center Chi-Wen Lin (186-83) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and international guard Yu-Chun Wei (176-92) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-1 record. Taipower lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Cathay Life will again play against bottom-ranked Taipower (#4) in the next round. Taipower will have a break next round.
