We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Beirut where one of their biggest challengers Al Moutahed (7-13) was edged by fourth ranked Homenetm. B (7-13) 85-84 on Friday. Al Moutahed was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 21-14 charge of Homenetm. B, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Al Moutahed was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati) chipped in 30 points and 8 assists during the contest. Four Homenetm. B players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) with 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTPA) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists. Homenetm. B moved-up to third place in A, which they share with Moutahed. Al Moutahed lost third consecutive game.
