Regular Season Round 47: Fukuoka Rizing - Hamamatsu P. 60-82

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (36-10) outscored on the road 10th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (12-34) 82-60 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Hamamatsu Phoenix. Fukuoka Rizing was better in third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Fukuoka Rizing 38-25 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hamamatsu Phoenix shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Fukuoka Rizing's players. It was a great evening for American guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon, agency: APAA Sports Group) helped adding 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Cyrus Tate (203-85, college: Iowa) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamamatsu Phoenix maintains third place with 36-10 record having just -1 point less than leader Kyoto Hannar. Fukuoka Rizing at the other side keeps the tenth position with 34 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
