The game between second ranked AZS UMK Torun (9-5) and fourth ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (10-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. AZS UMK Torun was crushed by Ksiezak Lowicz in Lowicz 67-95. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of AZS UMK Torun. It was a key game for the second position in Group E. The game without a history. Ksiezak Lowicz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Ksiezak Lowicz forced 22 AZS UMK Torun turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 assists. Swingman Lukasz Fafara (193-84) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Dawid Przybyszewski (215-81, college: Vanderbilt) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AZS UMK Torun. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AZS UMK Torun's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Ksiezak Lowicz moved-up to second place in Group E. AZS UMK Torun at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with AZS AGH Alstom and Gimbasket Przemysl. Ksiezak Lowicz are looking forward to face league's leader Notec in Inowroclaw in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AZS UMK Torun will play at home against Gimbasket Przemysl and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
