The game in Leeuwarden was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Zwolle (16-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Leeuwarden (7-17). Zwolle managed to secure a 6-point victory 83-77. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-16. But Leeuwarden won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Zwolle won last quarter 17-12. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Leeuwarden's 38. It was a great evening for American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. International point guard Leon Williams (183-91, agency: R.H.Consultancy) helped adding 14 points and 6 assists. At the losing side American guard Miles Jackson-Cartwright (190-92, college: Pennsylvania) responded with 27 points and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and the other American import power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds. Four Leeuwarden players scored in double figures. Zwolle maintains fourth place with 16-6 record. Leeuwarden at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Rotterdam. Zwolle will play against league's leader Leiden at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leeuwarden will have a break next round.
