The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Craiova won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Craiova was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Fila Smith (173, college: Savannah St.) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Her fellow American import Tanisha McTiller (172-92, college: Towson) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Janina Simionca (176-84) answered with 18 points and 4 steals and guard Adina Pop (173-88) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Craiova. Five Craiova players scored in double figures.
