Leader San Giovanni delivered the seventh victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Alpo VR (1-7) 77-60 in Verona. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 42-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. San Giovanni dominated on the defensive end, holding Alpo VR to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. San Giovanni forced 28 Alpo VR turnovers and outrebounded them 35-17 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds.
