An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Madrid. First ranked CREF Hola faced 4th ranked Sant Adria. Host CREF Hola (18-2) smashed guests from Sant Adria de Besos (13-7) 81-51. CREF Hola dominated on the defensive end, holding Sant Adria to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Sant Adria's 30. CREF Hola forced 23 Sant Adria turnovers and outrebounded them 44-23 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Sant Adria's players. The winners were led by Canadian forward Kendel Ross (185-88, college: Dayton) who scored that evening 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Portuguese guard Maria Correia (173-91) supported her with 19 points and 7 assists. Five CREF Hola players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by Ainhoa Lopez (180-97) did not help to save the game for Sant Adria. Center Olga Ruano (191-88, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Sant Adria's coach Jordi Vizcaino gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. CREF Hola maintains first position in Group B with 18-2 record. Newly promoted Sant Adria keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. CREF Hola's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena ASEFA Estudiantes.
