The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked ASEFA Estudiantes' (8-12) road victory over 9th ranked Andratx (5-15) 63-59 on Saturday. Andratx was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 20-10 charge of ASEFA Estudiantes, which allowed them to win the game. Andratx was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Mariana Gonzalez (187-88) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Clara Rodriguez (184-96) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four ASEFA Estudiantes players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Nina Djokovic (184-87, college: Bethel, TN) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian guard Milena Papic (173-87) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. ASEFA Estudiantes maintains eighth position in Group B with 8-12 record. Andratx lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with 15 games lost. ASEFA Estudiantes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid CREF Hola.
