The game between second ranked Guaros (13-7) and fifth ranked Guaiqueries (11-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Guaros were defeated by Guaiqueries in Porlamar 104-87. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Guaros. The game was mostly controlled by Guaiqueries. Guaros managed to win fourth quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. American center Dwayne Jones (211-83, college: St.Joseph's) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and Puerto Rican guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-91) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guaiqueries maintains fifth place with 11-7 record. Guaros at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost.
