Regular Season Round 42: Chiba Jets - Hyogo S. 67-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Chiba Jets' (28-17) home loss to fourth ranked Hyogo S. (15-28) 67-80 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hyogo S.. Chiba Jets was better in third quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hyogo S. had a 40-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Swingman William Knight (196-79, college: UCLA) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Paris Horne (191-87, college: St.John's) added 14 points in the effort for Chiba Jets. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hyogo S. maintains fourth position with 15-28 record. Chiba Jets at the other side keep the fifth place with 17 games lost. Hyogo S. will face Tsukuba R. (#7) at home in the next round.
